Two individuals are facing multiple charges after Manitoba RCMP discovered an illegal cannabis store operating in Flin Flon.
According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), they executed a search warrant under the Cannabis Act at a home on Princess Boulevard on April 30.
During the search, officers seized over $430,000 worth of cannabis products, including large quantities of dried cannabis. Police also confiscated over $90,000 in cash, several pounds of psilocybin, and 25 firearms.
The seized cannabis products included packaged gummies, cannabis-infused chocolate bars, resin, and other derivatives. RCMP stated that all cannabis products lacked proper tax stamps in Manitoba.
A 42-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested and are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and offenses under the firearms and cannabis acts. They have been released from custody and will appear in court on August 1.
RCMP continues to investigate.
