The official Israeli radio reported today, Thursday, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refrained from providing a security briefing to opposition leader Yair Lapid and recently canceled two meetings with him.
According to what was reported by the "Al Jazeera" news network, Netanyahu has not met with Lapid since last May, despite the law requiring him to meet with the opposition leader every month.
On Tuesday, Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated that Netanyahu has lost control over the war and foreign relations and over his government, as everyone there is doing as they please, according to his expression.
The Israeli newspaper "Maariv" quoted Lapid saying that the war in Gaza cannot continue forever, adding that Israel seeks short wars and that reservists cannot be called up indefinitely, pointing out that the Israeli economy cannot bear it.
