The Canadian Environment Agency has warned of "heavy" rains brought by the remnants of Hurricane Beril to southern Ontario and Quebec, which may continue until Thursday.
The Meteorological Agency issued rain warnings for the areas, stating that amounts will be variable, but some areas could see up to 80 mm.
The meteorological statement indicated that conditions may improve by Thursday, but there could be flash flooding on roads and local inundations.
This weather pattern comes as a severe heat wave continues due to a series of high pressures from Northern California slowly moving across Western Canada.
The Meteorological Agency issued dozens of heat advisories across much of Saskatchewan on Tuesday, stating that maximum temperatures are expected to persist for the rest of the week before easing slightly over the weekend.
Jennifer Smith, a meteorologist with the Canadian Department of Environment, said at a press conference on Monday that the scorching temperatures, which have now set dozens of daily records in British Columbia, are likely to reach Manitoba.
Smith stated that the scorching heat could reach the northwestern border of Ontario before moving south back to the United States.
