Some media outlets have reported that the National Police Investigation Team has launched a judicial investigation into the substantial financial benefits and tax exemptions granted to importers of cattle and sheep, aimed at reducing the rising prices of meat, without any positive impact from this support on prices!!!

There is no doubt that if this news is true, and we hope it is, it will have a significant impact on the hearts of citizens and all loyal patriots, especially with the insistence of the predatory liberal current to continue its course of achieving exorbitant profits without commitment and without regard for the state’s efforts, the nation’s reputation, the community’s peace of mind, and the dignity of citizens.

Undoubtedly, the investigation will cover all details of the program, starting from the method and criteria for selecting beneficiaries, their affiliations, their dealings with the market, and the prices they imposed, followed by the import procedures.
Thus, the investigation will be comprehensive to define responsibilities and the extent of involvement of all governmental, administrative, and professional parties.

This investigation and its consequences will provide a basis for a firm approach by the state to review, evaluate, and enforce all support programs in various sectors, primarily agriculture, which received the largest share of hundreds of billions especially in the last two decades, followed by industry, tourism, transportation, culture, media, and cinema.. in addition to advertising costs, organizing activities, exhibitions, conferences, travel, and promotion.. These are huge budgets that the state allocates for support, incentives, production, rehabilitation, housing, export, and training..

Perhaps this commitment will include all support programs in agriculture, fishing, industry, tourism, housing, transportation, culture, media, cinema.. and other sectors where billions of dirhams are distributed annually, in addition to further incentives, tax exemptions, and limitless institutional support.

From my administrative, political, and managerial experience, I affirm that the state is keen to accompany beneficiaries, individuals, companies, institutions, and local communities, and does not hesitate to do so whenever there is a motive for development and qualification, or a clear and urgent need, or a pressing crisis, or international competition.

But unfortunately, this is met by some, not all, I say some of the officials, administrators, and beneficiaries, with betrayal of trust and poor implementation.. They persist in this with every program approved by the state, wasting precious opportunities for the nation to enhance development and stability and fostering frustration and sorrow among large segments of citizens and elites.

These predators, supported by collaborators within some official institutions and their proximity to some decision-making positions, exploit these programs to inflict harm on the nation and citizens, placing the state in confrontation with society without their support or any appreciation.

Sometimes their audacity, even their shamelessness, reaches the point where they prey with the wolf and cry with the shepherd!!! You find them among those who mislead public opinion, being among the first to protest against the state, criticize its programs, and call for more.

They further exacerbate their deception by appearing in the spotlight to carry out, in order to camouflage, some charitable activities for the citizens who are victims of their greed and conflicts of interest.

To ensure that this initiative of firmness, undertaken by the state through the National Police Investigation, achieves its goals, it should reach all stakeholders without discrimination to ensure justice, which would be the best response to what is circulating in circles about the state's duty and its role in combating the excesses of the greedy and the expansion of the predatory liberal current.

It would also be more beneficial to evaluate the support and accompaniment policy in all its dimensions, from the criteria to the results, with the aim of establishing a transparent, fair, and strict system that contributes to achieving the desired development and stability.

The nation is precious and deserves the best.
