Grace Zumwinkle scored two goals from penalty kicks, and Taylor Hayes added another goal, as Minnesota recovered from a two-goal deficit to defeat Montreal 3-2 on Sunday in the Premier Women's Hockey League.
Montreal took the lead just 2:36 into the match after the first goal by defender Katie Tabin this season, with assists from Gabrielle David and Maureen Murphy, and Murphy gave Montreal a two-goal lead at 5:53 with her fourth goal of the season, with David recording her second assist.

Natalie Pospinder scored the first goal at 5:40 in the period with assists from Maggie Flaherty and Claire De George, and Lee Sticklin equalized at 6:04 with assists from Sophie Jack and Kendall Quinn Schofield.
This is the second goal this season for both players, and Ambrose scored Montreal's only penalty kick goal.
Minnesota coach Ken Klee said: "We know they are a good team and we know they will push hard and they did, so it was good for us to stay there and stick with it."
He confirmed, "I think it was a pivotal thing for us because it reinforced that we would be a tough team to deal with because we have multiple weapons and many players contributing in every game."
Also, Minnesota goalie Nicole Hensley saved 21 shots out of 23 attempts.
Montreal player Ellen Chole stopped 33 shots out of 35, and Minnesota (8-4-4-3) trails first-place Toronto by one point, while Montreal (7-5-3-4) stands third, five points behind the lead.
The two teams shared four matches this season, and Montreal dropped two out of three on the road in the championship.
