Paramedics in Ottawa announced that a man was seriously injured after colliding with a motorcycle on Highway 417 yesterday, Saturday.
The paramedics said they received a call early yesterday morning directly reporting a motorcycle collision on the highway near Pinkcrest Road, and upon arriving at the scene, they found the motorcyclist suffering from multiple injuries, and he was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
A police investigation found that the motorcycle and another vehicle were racing before the motorcycle collided with another vehicle, according to a report from the Ontario Provincial Police on X.
OPP adds that the same motorcyclist was stopped after being caught driving on the roadside without a license plate.
OPP said on X: "Charges are pending."
Westbound lanes of Highway 417 at Pinkcrest Road were closed for the investigation.
