On November 29 of every year, the world celebrates "International Solidarity Day with the Palestinian People," a day that goes beyond being a symbolic occasion to remind the international community of the Palestinian cause; it is an urgent and pressing call to the global conscience to stand with the Palestinian people in their quest for freedom and justice.

This day is not like any other day of the year nor like any day of the past years, and in light of the significant challenges facing the Palestinians from a barbaric genocide and displacement, repression, and ongoing violence, this day represents a golden opportunity not only to show solidarity with this great and afflicted people but to launch a real path towards achieving comprehensive peace and stopping the bloodshed.

Solidarity with the Palestinian People: A Global Message Committed to Justice

Solidarity with the Palestinian people on this day is part of a global responsibility that transcends geographical and diplomatic boundaries.

The Palestinian cause is a highly significant humanitarian, political, and moral issue that requires everyone's active participation in defending human rights, basic freedoms, and the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence.

This day carries a call to unify international efforts to end the barbaric and immoral Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and to work courageously, with unified standards and high ethics, to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. Through this unity, the international community can be a pressure force that positively influences the peace process in the region, not only for current generations but also for innocent generations whose only fault is being raised in an atmosphere of conflict, killing, and destruction, making their future threatened to become prey to hatred and animosity.

Moreover, solidarity should not remain just speeches and slogans raised during occasions through words on international platforms, but should manifest this noble matter in practical and courageous positions through imposing international sanctions on the occupation, besieging it, and working to curb its reckless and rebellious behaviors against international and humanitarian law, supporting peaceful initiatives that guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people, and providing material and humanitarian support to those affected by the repeated aggression and genocide against the people of Gaza.

Stopping Bloodshed: The Real Solution to a Long Conflict

Commemorating the day of solidarity with Palestine should serve as a reminder of the importance of stopping the bloodshed. Over the decades, humanity has paid a heavy price in lives due to the ongoing escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Since the beginning of this unjust conflict, Palestinian lives continue to be lost, their cities destroyed, and their future dissipated amid daily suffering and forced migration.

On this day, the world must send a strong message about the necessity of stopping bloodshed and putting an end to this ongoing suffering.

Therefore, we can say that peace, in its essence, can only be achieved when the concerned parties, especially the international community, put an end to this continuous humanitarian and moral degradation in light of the silence over the occupation's violations of international laws and charters.

Stopping violence means building trust among all parties and working together to establish an environment where human rights are the foundation, thus preserving the future of upcoming generations and creating a haven of security and safety, peace to cultivate hope for a better and promising future for generations that deserve a better and more beautiful life.

This day is considered a real opportunity to renew the international commitment to end violence permanently and to halt the barbaric and criminal war launched by the occupying army against the people of Gaza on one hand and the daily assaults by settler mobs on the lands and properties of citizens in the West Bank on the other, thus opening the way for genuine peaceful solutions that allow for true human creativity to create hope and provide opportunities for prosperity, development, and construction in that region.

A Real Opportunity for Establishing Peace

The day of solidarity with Palestine and its people is not just a day to shed light on suffering, but it is also a day to demand the achievement of just peace.

Therefore, hope for reaching a genuine political settlement still exists despite the extreme statements issued from time to time.

However, this requires real political will from the concerned parties and support from the international community to assume responsibility and make courageous decisions based on logical dialogue aimed at granting just rights, rather than seizing, obscuring, or violating them.

The two-state solution is the most realistic option in these delicate and highly sensitive circumstances, to achieve lasting and genuine peace that leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, living in peace and security within internationally recognized borders, is the ideal solution to this prolonged issue.

In Conclusion

The International Solidarity Day with the Palestinian people remains a prominent moral sign and more than just an annual occasion; it is a call for peace and justice, and an opportunity to stop the suffering of a people still aspiring for a better life.

On this day, we all must work—individually and through institutions and governments—to achieve this just goal, and to raise our voices for stopping the barbaric and illegal war and stopping the bloodshed.

The suffering of the Palestinians cannot continue under this international silence.

Therefore, the day of solidarity with this great people and their just cause is an opportunity that cannot be wasted, to work for a brighter future for the region, where everyone lives in peace and dignity.
