Canada Day … renewing the covenant and loyalty and the call of watchful eyes to protect the homeland from crime and criminals!

Firstly, Happy Canada Day to everyone... Safe, strong, inspiring!

As you know, today marks a national occasion dear to our hearts, Canada Day… that cherished day which reminds us all of the value of belonging and the spirit of solidarity that unites millions under one flag, one symbol, and one identity. It is a day for the loyal to renew their pledge and sincere and faithful belonging to this country that opened its doors to all, embraced diversity, and transformed differences into a source of strength and creativity.

Yet in the heart of this legitimate joy, we cannot overlook the growing challenges facing our community, foremost among them the escalating rates of crime and violence. While we color our streets with Canadian flags and maple leaf banners, there are watchful eyes that know no sleep, guarding our security and the safety of our neighborhoods, paying the price of sleepless effort and daily risk in order to protect people from those who have chosen the path of crime and aggression.

Canada Day is not just an occasion for celebration, but also an opportunity for deep reflection:

What does it mean to be Canadian in a time of increasing security and social challenges?

And how can we – individuals and institutions – translate our gratitude and loyalty to our country into responsible actions and tangible initiatives that enhance protection and prevention?

What is our role in supporting those who take their national duties while standing on the front lines, from police officers to firefighters, medical and relief teams, and all state apparatus?

Today, more than ever, Canada needs a steadfast collective awareness that refuses complicity with the culture of silence and fear, and elevates the value of reporting and cooperating with authorities to combat organized crime, drug and arms trafficking, car theft, bank and insurance fraud, arson, exploitation of minors in gang activities, kidnapping, recruitment of children and their indoctrination into violence and isolation from reality, and all manifestations of crime that threaten the future of our communities.

Our call on this day is a moral plea to every citizen with sincere belonging:

Regardless of the pains and sufferings our original country is going through, the absence of justice and the double standards, the horrific and ugly targeting of identity, and the destruction and killing that wounds the heart and stirs concern and sadness, and regardless of the feeble official stances towards our core issues, and regardless of economic hardships and social challenges, be the watchful eyes that see, protect, report, and support.

For there is no security without collective responsibility, no prosperity without justice, and no true celebration if we leave some of our neighborhoods hostage to gangs or defy justice.

Renewing the pledge on Canada Day is not complete with merely raising flags, nor is it enough to participate in national celebrations or family programs, but it is by renewing our commitment to the values that found this country:

Responsible freedom that does not tolerate crime,

Conditioned tolerance based on the rule of law,

And pluralism rooted in mutual respect for rights and duties.

Moreover, active participation in reporting criminals before they commit their crimes, especially car theft gangs that now represent an explicit threat to the security of our communities and the people's trust in protecting their properties.

Let us extend our hands in support and appreciation to everyone who sincerely protects Canada, and let us pledge to be part of the solution, not merely spectators of the challenges.

This is the only way we deserve to celebrate Canada Day… a day of loyalty and awareness, a day of watchful eyes, a day of renewed hope that Canada will remain a safe, strong, and inspiring home for us all.

And here let us clearly affirm that our identity, culture, and beliefs are all factors of participation, construction, and belonging, and anything else is an aberration outside these noble and inspiring roots, and those who practice it are nothing but cheap tools against these great values and principles.
