An Indian student aged 24 was shot dead in Canada while sitting inside a car south of Vancouver, according to local authorities.

Vancouver Police reported that the body of Chirag Antil from India was discovered inside a car after nearby residents reported hearing gunshots late on Friday, April 12, and no arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.

According to the GoFundMe page started by his brother, Chirag Antil is an international student from Haryana, India, who arrived in Vancouver in 2022 to study, and he lost his life tragically due to a recent murder in the city, and we desperately need help raising funds to return his body to India.

It was written in the fundraising campaign, “If you are in Vancouver and able to provide any support or assistance, please reach out to us, and your help in this regard would be deeply appreciated by Chirag’s family and friends as we seek to find peace during this heartbreaking time. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.”
