High school in Toronto closed after reports of an armed fight between students

A high school in Brampton was closed, while several other schools were placed under lockdown and secure orders following reports of a fight possibly involving a weapon.

The Peel Regional Police said they received a phone call about a fight at a school in the Bramalea area near Williams Parkway Road
shortly after 8:30 AM.

The police confirmed there were reports of a possible sighting of a gun or knife, but this was not confirmed.

As a result, Chinguacousy Secondary School was closed.

The school stated that this step was a "precautionary measure."

Several other schools were placed under lockdown and secure orders as a precautionary measure while police investigate the incident, including: Judith Nyman, Jefferson PESg, Williams Parkway PESg, PSS, St. John Bosco CESg, and injuries were reported.
