The spokesperson for the Israeli army announced today, Thursday, the killing of Raed Thabet, who held the position of Head of the Supply and Personnel Authority in the military wing of Hamas, during an operation targeting Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

According to the spokesperson, Thabet "was among the top ten" in Hamas, and was "close to Yahya Sinwar."

He added that "there were 1250 people in Al-Shifa Hospital, including 900 suspects, and we identified 513 terrorists among them."

He continued: "We still estimate that we will discover a larger number of senior officials and a larger number of terrorists, and we will reach them all."

The Israeli army earlier on Thursday announced that armed men from Hamas opened fire on army soldiers from inside the "emergency unit" at Al-Shifa Hospital.

He also revealed that soldiers from the 401 Brigade, Nahal Brigade, and Naval Unit 13 killed Hamas militants.

On the other hand, the Israeli National Security Council issued a warning to Israeli citizens against traveling to Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Turkey.

According to the "Times of Israel" newspaper, the council said in a statement today, Thursday, that "the likelihood of terrorist threats against Israelis and Jews more than five months after the start of the war in Gaza is very high."

It added that "Hamas will attempt to target Israelis and Jews abroad during the war."

He continued: "Dozens of these terrorist attempts to target Israelis and Jews worldwide in recent years have been thwarted."

He pointed out that "Jewish communities in Europe and North America are also a major target for extremists, with religious and community institutions preferred targets during holidays and festivals."

The council also confirmed that "there are increasing attempts during the Gaza war by global jihadist organizations to recruit lone attackers to target Jews and Israelis."

In this context, the newspaper quoted an Israeli official as saying that "Turkey, Morocco, Jordan, and Egypt are destinations to be avoided at this time."

The official explained that the warning for Egypt includes the Sinai Peninsula, a popular holiday destination for Israelis who travel during Passover.

According to the official, Israel is not considering closing the crossing to Egypt, but will do so in case of a specific threat.

The official also urged Israelis who will travel to Sweden next May to attend the "Eurovision 2024" song contest to hide their identities.
