A magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck a rural area west of Quebec this Wednesday morning.
The Canadian earthquake agency reports that the quake occurred northwest of the town of Hawkesbury in Ontario at 8:20 AM, directly across the Ottawa River.
The epicenter of the earthquake is located about 80 kilometers east of Ottawa, at a depth of 9 kilometers below the ground.
No damage has been reported, but people felt it lightly in parts of eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
The Canadian earthquake agency received 83 reports of residents feeling the tremor by 11:30 AM.
