Durham police arrest man who committed "30" crimes in Oshawa

A man from Oshawa was arrested on the street under three separate release orders and charged with 30 offenses, including eight for breaking and entering and theft while on probation.

The Criminal Investigation Branch of the Central East Division of Durham Police concluded an investigation with the 46-year-old man, who is well known to the police.

Edward Bond was charged with breaking into lockers at local gyms and community centers to steal wallets, vehicle keys, credit cards, and other personal property.

He is also accused of breaking into several vehicles and using stolen credit cards at multiple retailers.

He has been charged with breaking and entering, unauthorized use of credit card information, two counts of possessing a credit card obtained by crime, theft under and over $5000, "identity theft for obtaining property," and two counts of possessing property obtained by crime under $5000.

Bond was also charged with 16 counts of breaching probation and six counts of failing to comply with a release order, and he was held at a bail hearing.
