The Olympic Games are heading to Hollywood, and Tom Cruise gave everyone a glimpse of what it will be like.

During the closing ceremony on Sunday, the star of the "Mission Impossible" film made a daring leap from the top of the Stade de France.

When the spotlight was on Cruise on the roof, he was lowered to the arena floor by a cable. He then made his way through the athletes to the stage, shaking hands and taking selfies along the way, including a very enthusiastic hug from one female athlete.

And that wasn't all.

As part of Hollywood's handover to Los Angeles, which will host the Games in 2028, Cruise took the Olympic flag, mounted it on a motorcycle, and rode out of the stadium through a crowd of athletes. (It didn’t seem that anyone was harmed).

In a touch of movie magic, Cruise was then seen in a pre-recorded segment riding through Paris until he reached a plane that defied time and space to get to Los Angeles.

As the camera pulled away, Cruise was seen at the Hollywood sign, where the Olympic rings replaced the double "o" in the word Hollywood.

Yes, all of this really happened.

Cruise is, of course, known for his love of dangerous stunts.

The actor has become famous for putting his body on the line in many films, especially the multi-billion dollar "Mission" series in which he plays the spy Ethan Hunt. The eighth installment is expected to be released in 2025.

The actor told CNN last year: "It's not that I'm not afraid." "I don't mind being scared."
