Meteorologists expect a little sunshine and cloudy periods in southern Ontario today, Monday, with a 30 percent chance of rain changing to thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Daytime temperatures will reach 27 degrees Celsius, but with humidity hitting 32, it will feel notably hotter.
The UV index will reach a high level of 7.
The Canadian Environmental Department advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Canadian Health Department stated that if outdoors, individuals should seek shade, wear protective clothing and hats, apply sunscreen SPF 30 or higher, avoid tanning, use UV-protective sunglasses, and stay hydrated throughout the day.
The sky will become cloudier in the evening as temperatures drop to 16 degrees Celsius. There is a low chance (30 percent) of rain returning, which could lead to a thunderstorm overnight.
