It is hard to believe, and calls for great astonishment, a man has his car stolen four times from his driveway in Mississauga, Canada.
Michael Aitken said that this has been going on for a very long time, and the car and gun thefts aimed at people's heads are all ridiculous."
Aitken said that the losses his family suffered were huge, and the first car they stole was a Range Rover. Aitken explained: “We bought a Range Rover without knowing it was one of the luxury cars vulnerable to theft, and that car was stolen from our driveway, and we had a tracking system that comes standard with the car, but the thieves got away with their act.”
He explained that the thieves did return to steal another car from the same agency, and this car was stolen twice.
He said, they advised us to get a tracking system, which is very common now, and that car was stolen, recovered, then stolen again and recovered again, then they started stealing my Suburban car.
Aitken fears for his safety because these thieves have become bolder in their attempts.
Aitken explained that at one time we found a GPS tracking system under the Suburban car, and he continued, "We know that we were tracked several times with the Range Rover, and once the car was stolen from the driveway at 2:30 in the afternoon, at which time my wife returned home after picking up my son from school, entered the house for five minutes, then left to bring the other son, then the car disappeared.”
Aitken decided to tighten security at his home, and although it did not prevent the thieves from trying to steal his cars, it deterred them - for now.
Aitken pointed out that he hopes his new security measures will help keep his cars safe, but he also hopes for policy changes by the government to protect residents as car thefts continue to rise in Ontario.
