Air Canada announced the launch of the largest winter expansion in its history, adding several new destinations to its network in Latin America. This expansion is part of its plan to enhance air connectivity with key areas on the Latin continent as the winter season approaches.

The company clarified in its statement that the new destinations include major cities in Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica, along with an increase in the number of flights to existing destinations within the region. Air Canada confirmed that this move comes in response to the growing demand for international flights, especially with the rising interest in travel to warmer regions during the winter season.

For his part, Marc Galvin, the Executive Vice President of Air Canada, stated: "This expansion represents a strategic step aimed at meeting the needs of our customers and providing more options for travel to preferred destinations in Latin America. We are committed to delivering high-quality services and comfortable travel experiences."

Through this move, Air Canada seeks to enhance its position as the largest airline in Canada and strengthen its international presence, especially in light of the increasing competition among airlines between Canada and Latin American countries.
