A person has died and three others have been injured after a shooting at a house in the Woodbridge area of Vaughan

York Regional Police said the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. yesterday, Friday, at a home located on Casa Major Road in the Davos area near Nova Weston Road, MacKenzie Drive

They added that one person was transported with life-threatening injuries, while two others were transported with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being found inside the home.

The death of one of the victims was also announced at the scene, and initial indications suggest that this incident was targeted and isolated, with no direct threat to residents.

The police stated that there is no information yet about the relationship between the individuals who were shot or those living in the home.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact investigators.

Sources confirmed that the vehicles located in the home's driveway had been set on fire on Christmas Day in December.

While the police did not specifically address this incident, they said that any previous calls to the home would be taken into consideration by investigators as they work to determine what happened.

The police are now also looking for at least one suspect, but no description is available at this time.

Two schools in the area were briefly placed under lockdown as a precautionary measure.
