Volkswagen strives to enhance its production in China

Volkswagen, the German car manufacturer, intends to enhance its production and creativity in the Chinese city of Hefei through investments amounting to 2.5 billion euros.

Bloomberg news agency reported that the company stated in a statement that in addition to strengthening the research and development sector, preparations are underway to produce two models of Volkswagen cars, with development currently being conducted in partnership with the Chinese company "XPENG".

The production of the first model, a mid-sized SUV, is scheduled to begin by 2026.
