The British Navy announced on Sunday that a fire broke out on a ship due to being hit by a projectile in the Gulf of Aden.
The British Maritime Trade Operations agency, part of the Royal Navy, stated that the ship was struck by an "unknown projectile" around 2340 GMT on Saturday, about 70 nautical miles (130 kilometers) southwest of Aden in Yemen.
The agency added that the attack "led to a fire outbreak," and that no injuries have been reported, and damage control is ongoing.
The agency stated that the ship is heading to the next stopover port.
No details were provided about the ship that was attacked, but the agency advised to navigate the area with caution.
