22 people were injured in a fire at a residential building in the German city of Solingen, and among the injured were the crew of the first ambulance that arrived at the scene, the fire department announced today, Sunday.
According to data, most of the injured suffered from smoke inhalation caused by the fire.
When the fire teams arrived, smoke was rising from several windows in the front and back of the three-story building.
The fire teams were able to rescue ten individuals from the house, including two families, via the fire ladder. A total of 12 out of the 22 injured were taken to the hospital.
The building is currently uninhabitable.
