Israeli media revealed a decisive stance from the elected American president, Donald Trump, regarding the West Bank, as he informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he does not intend to recognize Israel's right to annex the West Bank.

According to what was reported by the Israeli “i24” channel, Trump promised to provide strong support for Israel in dealing with the Iranian nuclear file, considering this issue one of his priorities.

In the same context, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Trump's adviser on prisoner and missing persons affairs, Adam Bohler, will visit Israel in the coming days. The newspaper mentioned, citing informed sources, that the visit aims to conduct consultations regarding a potential prisoner exchange deal.

This stance comes amid increasing tension over Israeli annexation policies, which face widespread international opposition. Trump's decision not to recognize Israel's right to annex represents a significant shift in the American-Israeli relationship, especially as it carries a clear message to Netanyahu that American support for Israel will not be absolute or unconditional.

It remains to be seen how these positions will reflect on the relations between the two countries and on the political scene in the region, especially with the escalating talk about unilateral Israeli steps in the West Bank.
