The Ontario Police Watchdog is investigating the death of a 19-year-old man who fell at Niagara Falls on Saturday night.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said that Niagara Parks police officers were searching for a man in distress at around 7 PM, and confronted the man in the area of River Road and Hiram Street. At one point, the man jumped over the barrier and fell into the Niagara gorge.
Police later found the man dead, according to the Special Investigations Unit.
The Special Investigations Unit has assigned one subject officer, three witness officers, three investigators, and two forensic investigators to this case.
