The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei denied the allegations directed at Tehran regarding involvement in assassination attempts of American figures, including Donald Trump, and affirmed that they are baseless.
A statement from the ministry published on "Telegram" said: "The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Ismail Baqaei described the allegations of Iran's involvement in the assassination attempts of former and current U.S. officials as entirely baseless and rejected them."
The statement added that Baqaei described "the repetition of these statements" immediately after the U.S. presidential elections as a "disgusting conspiracy by opposing Israeli and Iranian circles aimed at complicating relations between the United States and Iran."
The Associated Press reported yesterday that the FBI claims an unnamed representative of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard planned to assassinate Donald Trump.
Previously, Donald Trump accused Iran of having made specific "moves" against him, but they were unsuccessful, and he may repeat them again.
