A French Airlines official said on Sunday that two pilots from French Airlines were suspended after a physical fight in the cockpit on a flight from Geneva to Paris in June.
The official said the flight continued and landed safely, and the dispute did not affect the rest of the flight, confirming the airline's commitment to safety.
The French newspaper La Tribune reported that the pilot and his co-pilot had a dispute shortly after takeoff, and one apparently hit the other.
The report stated that the cabin crew intervened and one member of the flight crew stayed in the cockpit with the pilots.
News of the fight emerged after the French air investigation agency, BEA, issued a report on Wednesday saying some French Airlines pilots lack strict adherence to procedures during safety incidents.
