A pro-Israel march is scheduled to take place today, Sunday, June 9, in Toronto amid tight security measures by Canadian security forces and related protests.
The United Jewish Appeal organization is holding its annual event "Walk with Israel," which includes a five-kilometer march and a festival at the northern end of the city.
The police stated that they aim to avoid confrontations by designating specific areas for those planning to protest the event and warned that anyone involved in criminal behavior will be arrested.
The police also clarified that officers from various other forces will be present to ensure public safety.
The organization noted that the annual event attracts nearly 20,000 participants, but a larger number is expected to attend this year.
