British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak described London's decision to participate in striking the sites of the Houthi "Ansar Allah" movement in Yemen as a "right" decision.
Sunak said in a press conference: "The increasing number of illegal attacks on commercial ships is concerning, causing massive disruption to the global economy and endangering innocent lives."
He continued: "It was right that we decided to take action to protect interests and lives alongside our allies, we have clearly expressed our condemnation of them (the Houthis)."
He concluded by saying: "We will continue to force them to stop carrying out their attacks."
Earlier, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron warned that Britain is ready to carry out further strikes on Houthi sites in Yemen if they continue attacking commercial and military ships in the Red Sea.
The US and British forces carried out a series of strikes on Houthi sites, including a radar site in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and a naval base in Hodeidah.
After the initial strikes, US President Joe Biden confirmed that Washington and its allies will respond to the Houthis if they continue their behavior, which he described as "infuriating".
