The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that families of Israeli prisoners held in Gaza are protesting in front of the Ministry of Defense headquarters "Kiryat" in Tel Aviv, in addition to thousands others against the government in Netanya and Haifa.
It said: "Thousands are protesting against the government at Kaplan in Tel Aviv and at the same time in Haifa. In addition, about 2000 people protested against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea. Dozens of protesters came to the Arim Mall square in Netanya demanding the return of the kidnapped."
The corporation pointed out that anti-government protesters closed the Ayalon highway near the Arlozorov intersection in Tel Aviv. The protesters, from the Dor Shona organization, said: "We need a (prisoner exchange) agreement now, and elections. After nearly six months of catastrophic failure in Israel's history, everyone who gave up on the kidnapped must bring them all back home."
Hundreds of protesters against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Rothschild Street in Caesarea demanded his dismissal, carrying signs that read "With Qatari money you strengthened Yahya Sinwar, you are the head - you are guilty."
Last January, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted families of Israeli prisoners held in Gaza as saying: "There is no victory without the return of the hostages, we need an agreement now and at any cost because time is running out and their (hostages') lives are on borrowed time."
Israeli media had reported that families of Israeli prisoners held by "Hamas" organized a sit-in in front of the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu north of Tel Aviv demanding the release of the prisoners.
Thousands of Israelis took to the streets of the city of Haifa on the 13th of this month demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and holding early elections to choose his replacement.
