During her news broadcast, presenter ''Julie Chen'' began to stutter in her speech, then looked down slightly and the broadcast ended, with viewers later discovering that she had suffered a frightening health crisis.

A news presenter in Oklahoma revealed that she had a stroke live on air, which was the reason for her stuttering, according to the "New York Post" website.

Julie Chen, who works for a local NBC affiliate in Tulsa, was taken to the hospital after finding herself struggling to read the news script.

She wrote in a Facebook post, "The past few days are still somewhat unclear to me, but my doctors believe I had a stroke live on air."

Chen confirmed that she felt energetic and active before the broadcast, and there were no signs of a health crisis before the stroke occurred.

She added, "However, over the course of several minutes during our news broadcast, things began to happen. First, I lost partial vision in one eye, and shortly after that, my arm went numb."

She confirmed, "Then I knew I was in big trouble when I couldn't move my mouth to read the words right in front of me on the teleprompter."

Chen was reading the news about NASA canceling a much-anticipated rocket launch when she started clearly getting confused and repeating her words.

After struggling for several seconds, Chen apologized to the viewers, saying, "I'm sorry, something is happening to me this morning." She quickly handed over the broadcast to meteorologist Annie Brown to update the weather.
