Starbucks announced the layoff of 1,100 employees in the administrative sector as part of its efforts to restructure and improve operational efficiency.
The company clarified that this step is part of its plan to simplify operations and enhance its ability to adapt to changing market demands. Starbucks confirmed that the layoffs do not include employees working in cafes but are limited to administrative positions.
The company added that the restructuring aims to achieve more flexibility and efficiency in performance, aligning with its strategy for sustainable growth.
This decision comes amid changes in the retail and restaurant sector, as companies seek to improve their financial situations in light of global economic challenges.
