Shooting at Bayward Market resulted in 3 people being injured

Three people are being treated for gunshot wounds after a shooting at the ByWard Market in Ottawa shortly after the closing time of bars and restaurants.

Emergency crews responded to the shooting on York Street, between Sussex Drive and ByWard Market Square, at around 2:20 a.m. on Friday.

Witnesses say they heard gunfire and saw people on the ground injured by gunshots.

Paramedics in Ottawa told CTV News that Ottawa crews transported three people to an Ottawa hospital in serious condition.

Ottawa police stated that the investigation is in its early stages and there are no details about the incident until the investigations are completed.
