Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih said in statements to Bloomberg agency that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not intend to use oil as a weapon to pressure Israel to stop the firing on the Gaza Strip.
The Saudi Investment Minister pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to reach a peaceful solution in order to stop the firing on the Gaza Strip.
He added that using the oil price as a means of pressure to stop the firing in the Gaza Strip is not currently on the table, noting that the Kingdom is trying to resolve matters through discussions and peace talks.
Al-Falih explained that it is unfortunate that the New Economy Forum is meeting this year at a time when the crisis is intensifying, adding: The Palestinian people have been deprived of all human rights and have not received their right to establish their state and live in peace.
The Saudi Investment Minister confirmed that an emergency Arab summit is scheduled to be held in Riyadh this week, and in the coming days an Islamic summit is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia will also hold a summit with African countries, without specifying the date.
