The Palestinian Prisoners Club announced an increase in the number of prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons to 9,100 prisoners, after 160 days of the genocide carried out by the occupation forces in Gaza, according to a breaking news report from Cairo News Channel.

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, sea, and air, since last October 7, leaving more than 31,000 martyrs, most of them children and women, and more than 72,000 injuries, in an unofficial toll, with thousands of victims still under the rubble and in the streets, as the occupation prevents the arrival of ambulance and civil defense crews to them.

Due to the war and simultaneous Israeli restrictions, the people of Gaza, especially in the Gaza and North governorates, are facing severe famine amid a severe shortage of food, water, medicine, and fuel supplies, with the displacement of about two million Palestinians from the sector that Israel has besieged for 17 years.

In another context, the European Union foreign policy official Josep Borrell said that more pressure should be exerted on Israel to open crossings for the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

Today, Thursday, the European Parliament approved a decision strongly condemning Israel, the occupying power, for obstructing the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which has been exposed to a devastating war for more than 5 months.
