The governor of the city of Sevastopol in the Russian Crimea Peninsula, Mikhail Razvozhayev, announced the interception by Russian air defense of Ukrainian targets that attempted to strike the Belbek airbase in the city.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday that Russian forces managed to thwart a Ukrainian attack using at least 16 drones in the city's port, without reporting any casualties or material damage.

Military spokesman General Igor Konashenkov confirmed that a group of nine drones and seven autonomous unmanned marine vehicles were mostly destroyed in an attack that began at 4:30 AM local time against several areas of the port.
The ministry confirmed minor damage to the Ivan Golubets minesweeper in the city port and condemned that the Black Sea Fleet ships targeted in the attack are involved in operating the grain corridor to export agricultural products from Ukrainian ports, as well as Russian fertilizers to countries in need.

This attack comes less than a month before the expiration of the agreement reached in July to facilitate the export of grain from Ukraine. In principle, the agreement is automatically extended if Moscow or Kyiv have no objections to it.

This is considered the second drone attack within the last 24 hours after the attack that occurred last night, which was also neutralized according to Russian authorities in the Crimea Peninsula.
