Suhur is one of the most important aspects that distinguish the holy month of Ramadan, but some may find it difficult to choose the appropriate foods for the Suhur meal because they will affect the fasting hours and may increase the feeling of thirst or hunger.
Fasters always want to eat foods that make them feel full for a longer period, while at the same time reducing their feeling of thirst.
Nutrition experts emphasize not neglecting the Suhur meal as it protects a person from headaches, blurred vision, fatigue, dizziness, and also provides the energy needed to complete the day and work.
What foods should be eaten at Suhur?
To answer this question, nutrition expert Reem Bani Ouda said:
The Suhur meal is an important meal, no less important than Iftar.
The nutrients our body needs daily cannot be obtained only from Iftar but are also completed in the Suhur meal.
In Suhur, one should avoid eating fats and sugars.
Protein is very important in the Suhur meal.
All types of food should be eaten in moderation.
If the body fasts for long periods, it will enter a state of not burning and preserving calories.
