The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said yesterday, Thursday, that any new use of an American or Anglo-Saxon veto in the UN Security Council regarding peace in the Gaza Strip is a "blood crime".

In response to a question from Anadolu during a press conference in the Russian capital, Moscow,

Zakharova reaffirmed, in response to a question from the Anadolu news agency during a press conference in Moscow, the unity of the international community in the face of the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, which have claimed the lives of thousands of Palestinians since October 7.

Zakharova explained that any new "American or Anglo-Saxon veto" in the UN Security Council on any document aimed at ending the killing of civilians in Gaza and establishing peace in the region "would simply be a blood crime".

She pointed out that "there is no country, not even one in the world, where its people do not agree that the situation in Gaza is unacceptable".

She emphasized that "countries around the world use different terms; genocide, or tragedy, or the need to stop the violence, or settlement... yet they all agree that the current situation is unacceptable".

Zakharova stated that "this global understanding of the atrocity of the tragedy and the unity of the world indicates that citizens on the ground can still negotiate, empathize, and resist evil, despite numerous differences"
