Three people were slightly injured on Saturday evening in the city of Lyon in central eastern France, when far-right activists tried to storm a conference on Palestine, according to "France Press" citing the prefecture and eyewitnesses.

The prefecture explained that a far-right individual was arrested, confirming that it "strongly condemns the acts of violence committed."

In detail, security forces and fire trucks were present in large numbers around the targeted building.

"Agencies" also quoted Christophe Oberlin, a surgeon who worked in Gaza and participated in the conference to present his latest two books, saying that "people used sticks to break the door of the hall where the conference was held, without being able to enter it."

Many participants confirmed that the hall, which accommodates "120 people," was "full," and that there were children and elderly among the attendees, noting that the attackers broke one of the windows.

Also, Jerome Fainel, head of the "Palestine 69" group organizing the event, reported that he intends to file a complaint, adding: "They are from the far-right, they attacked with fireworks, and I am holding one of them in my hand," also pointing to "iron bars" and "glass bottles."

One participant said: "We found ourselves trapped...we used many items to fortify the door."

About 1,200 people organized a march in the afternoon in Lyon against the far-right at a collective invitation supported especially by the left-radical party France Insoumise and anti-fascist movements.
