The Red Cross spokesperson Ziad Abu Lubn said today, Sunday, that the situation in the Gaza Strip resembles a real disaster, which requires the introduction of all possible food, relief, medicine, and fuel aid into the afflicted sector.

Abu Lubn explained in a press briefing that the Red Cross managed to bring medical teams into the European Hospital, where 150 surgical operations were performed on the injured.

He pointed out that the Red Cross teams are also working on bringing medical materials and supplies into hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip after having introduced these materials into hospitals in the south.

Meanwhile, the director of Gaza European Hospital, Youssef Al-Aqqad, said that the disastrous scene in the hospital cannot be described as the medical teams are unable to provide medical services to all the wounded who are still arriving there.

Al-Aqqad added in a press briefing that there are 900 wounded present in the hospital, which was expanded from 250 beds to 450 to accommodate the large number of injured, meaning that the capacity has exceeded the hospital’s capability, calling for urgent acceleration in reinforcing the medical staff.

He pointed out that there are hundreds of wounded suffering from partial and complete paralysis in addition to orthopedic patients, who are awaiting surgical operations that have become unavailable in the hospital due to the severe shortage of the necessary medical supplies to perform them, noting that there are about forty patients in critical condition connected to artificial respirators.

Meanwhile, Mona Awkal, correspondent of "Cairo News" channel from the Gaza Strip, revealed that the Israeli occupation forces are heavily bombing the southern Gaza Strip, closing the roads linking the north and south of the Strip, noting that the occupation is pushing citizens to evacuate from the north and east of the Strip, demanding the evacuation of Khan Yunis, describing it as a military area.

Mona Awkal confirmed that Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis is out of service, and said: "We are now talking about a disaster, if the situation continues as it is, we will be facing large numbers of martyrs, as well as patients who have no places to go to receive treatment."

She mentioned that sirens are sounding in the "Kesufim" settlement near Gaza, pointing to violent clashes between factions and the occupation in the north and center of the Strip, and that the factions are launching rockets from areas where the occupation army is present, sending messages that resistance has not ended, and denying the idea that the occupation is eliminating the factions and controlling those areas.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza also announced that the Israeli occupation forces have committed a new massacre at this moment in Jabalia Camp, and the Ministry of Health confirmed the martyrs of dozens, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to many injuries, and several civilians remain missing under the rubble of buildings targeted by the occupation bombing in Jabalia Camp.

The Israeli occupation forces also bombed the "Holy Family" school, which hosts a large number of displaced people in Gaza, according to a breaking news report by "Cairo News" channel.
