The Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" mentioned on Friday that the number of disabled soldiers in the Israeli army is expected to rise to more than 20,000 soldiers, although the current number is only 12,500 soldiers, but it is subject to increase.
The newspaper explained that some say the picture looks bleak inside the army and the numbers vary, as the newspaper expected that the number is subject to steady increase by 20%, especially with the continuation of the war that has reached its ninety-first day, the war that began on the seventh of last October.
It pointed out that some hospitals talk about the immediate need to deal with those mentally and psychologically affected due to the ongoing war on Gaza, where many employees inside the hospitals were recruited to respond to soldiers' inquiries in the battlefields, in addition to the demand for providing a special budget for post-war or post-trauma victims.
In a related context, Ram Amnach, the former financial advisor to the Israeli Chief of Staff, said on Thursday that his country must double the Ministry of "Defense's" budget by 60 billion shekels annually.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation conducted an interview with Ram Amnach, during which he clarified that whoever reviews the military data realizes that Israel needs about 60 billion shekels (shekel = 0.27 dollars), annually.
The former Israeli official emphasized that in order to truly protect Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu's government must double the Ministry of "Defense's" budget at the current time.
