Quebec: Independent investigation office opens probe into violent police intervention

The Independent Investigation Office (BEI) announced that it will examine a police intervention that occurred on Monday afternoon in Laval, during which a 34-year-old man was involved in a traffic accident.

Shortly before 5 PM on Monday, the Laval Police Department (SPL) was called to intervene regarding a store robbery located on Robert Bourassa Street.

Subsequently, the police chased a car driven by a suspect in the robbery before his car collided with another vehicle, causing him various injuries.
