The match between Argentina and Paraguay witnessed fierce competition and exciting events, as Argentina hosted the match as part of the World Cup qualifying rounds.

In the 11th minute, Lautaro Martínez opened the scoring for Argentina after a coordinated attacking sequence, giving the team an early morale boost. However, this lead did not last long, as Antonio Sanabria equalized for Paraguay in the 19th minute, after a quick counter-attack and good exploitation of an opportunity inside the penalty area.

In the second half, the Paraguayan team entered with great focus and quickly succeeded in scoring the second goal through Omar Alderete in the 47th minute, following a defensive error by the Argentine team. Argentina then attempted to return to the game, creating several chances, especially with the movements of Messi and Mac Allister, but Paraguay's defense was organized and managed to neutralize the attacks.

The match also saw protests from Lionel Messi against the referee's decisions, as he seemed dissatisfied with some of the officiating calls made during the match. Player Nicolás Otamendi also received yellow cards due to some interventions, adding extra tension to the game.

Despite Argentina's attempts to equalize in the final minutes of the match, the Paraguayan team managed to hold on and maintain their lead until the final whistle, achieving an important victory with a score of 2-1.
