Egyptian star Mohamed Salah confirmed on Friday that this year will be his last with English club Liverpool, sparking speculation about his future in the world of football.

Salah's Statements

In an interview with "Sky Sports," Salah said:

“I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool. It’s my last year at the club, so I want to do something special for this city.”

This statement reinforces doubts about his future intentions, especially since his contract with the club expires next summer, allowing him to negotiate and sign with any other club for free starting now.

Outstanding Performance This Season

Despite the talk of his departure, Salah is having an exceptional season with Liverpool under manager Arne Slot. The team is at the top of the Premier League table, six points clear, with a game in hand, ahead of the anticipated match against Manchester United.

Salah, who is 32 years old, leads the list of the most influential players in the Premier League this season, with 17 goals and 13 assists.

Uncertain Future

After Liverpool's match against West Ham United, Salah stated:

“No, we are far from that (renewing the contract with Liverpool), and I don’t want to put anything in the media.”

Interest from Other Clubs

With only six months left on his contract, discussions are increasing about several big clubs' interest in Salah's services, most notably Paris Saint-Germain, which is rumored to have made an enticing offer to the Egyptian star.

What Awaits Salah?

With the announcement of his imminent departure, the question remains about Salah's next destination, and whether he will end his career in Europe or take on new challenges in other leagues?
