Trudeau said, at a press conference held with the Prime Ministers of Latvia and Spain and the NATO Secretary General today, Tuesday, that he met with a number of Canadian forces in Latvia, referring to his decision to renew operations there.
He added that his country will continue to support Ukraine, announcing his visit tomorrow to the capital Berlin to meet with the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, according to him.
He confirmed that the ongoing training and forces operation defend the freedom and security of NATO, especially due to "hostile actions by Russia." He continued, "Putin made a big mistake thinking that Ukraine is not strong in defending itself against his war," adding: "All of us will apply Article 5 if Putin attacks any NATO country."
The Canadian Prime Minister concluded that his country understands Ukraine's urgent requests, confirming the continuation of supplying Ukraine with weapons to enable it to defend itself.
