Ottawa police seized 210 kilograms of cannabis, 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 7,000 methamphetamine pills, cash, and a luxury car as part of a three-month investigation into drug trafficking in the capital.

Seven people face charges after officers searched six homes in Ottawa on Friday morning following an investigation called "Project Road Runner".

The police said: "The investigation focused on a drug distribution network operating within the city." Search warrants were carried out at homes located on McWatters Road, Woodridge Crescent, Foxridge Way, Hearst Way, Banner Road, and Barnstone Drive. In a press release on Saturday, the police detailed what was seized during the investigation as follows:

- 210 kilograms of cannabis

- 1.5 kilograms of cocaine

- 7,000 methamphetamine pills

- 30 grams of fentanyl

- Nearly 3 kilograms of cannabis resin

- Nearly 3 kilograms of concentrated cannabis (crumble)

- 188 cannabis vaporizers/cartridges

- More than 14 kilograms of premium cannabis

- Nearly 7 kilograms of phenacetin

- More than 3 kilograms of psilocybin (magic mushrooms)

- Nearly 175,000 Canadian dollars in cash

- 1 luxury vehicle

- 1 bulletproof vest

The police say various drug trafficking tools and firearms were also seized.

Six people were arrested and charged with numerous offenses under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code, and the Cannabis Act, including possession for the purpose of sale/distribution.

The police say officers are still searching for a seventh person linked to the investigation. The police also said that "Gene Pollock, 30, from Ottawa, faces charges and the police are currently seeking to arrest him on multiple charges related to the investigation including participation in a criminal organization."
