The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli occupation forces dealt violently with medical teams and patients, and arrested the director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, according to Al-Qahera News Channel in a breaking news report today.

It is noted that the Israeli occupation forces arrested Mohammad Abu Salmiya, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital, and a number of medical staff, on the morning of Thursday, November 23, 2023, who were inside the hospital to care for the injured and provide full care for them.

Abu Salmiya had informed the "Agence France-Presse" that the Israeli occupation had once again notified him to evacuate Al-Shifa Hospital on Sunday, November 18, 2023, after previously refusing a similar order.

The pace of conflict and Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, civilians, and displaced persons is escalating before the agreed ceasefire comes into effect, which was mediated and facilitated by Egyptian and Qatari efforts.

The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" strongly condemned the arrest of the director of Al-Shifa Hospital and his fellow doctors, calling on the Red Cross and international organizations "to work on their immediate release."

The movement said in a press statement: We strongly condemn the Nazi occupation's arrest of the director of Al-Shifa Hospital, Dr. Mohammad Abu Salmiya, and a number of medical staff who remained in the hospital to facilitate the evacuation of the remaining patients and wounded therein, and we consider it a despicable and vile act that only comes from a party devoid of all meanings of humanity and ethics, in addition to being a flagrant crime and violation of international charters that guarantee non-exposure of medical staff at all times, including during wars."
