The Ottawa police's homicide unit has charged a 25-year-old man with dangerous driving causing death in relation to the death of a cyclist.
On September 24, at around 2:30 AM, Chanel Charrette (33), who was riding a bicycle, was involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by an individual.
The woman left the scene and went to the hospital, where she died several days later on September 26.
Tony Beer from Ottawa is charged with dangerous driving causing death.
A hearing regarding the case will take place on September 29.
