Ottawa Police request assistance in identifying a suspect in a bank robbery.

Ottawa police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a bank robbery on January 10 on Bessaline Street, Block 700.

The suspect entered the bank just after 2 p.m. and was carrying a black handgun. He demanded cash and then moved to the teller area.

He left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No physical injuries occurred during the incident.

The suspect is described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall (178 cm) and of medium build.

Ottawa police reported that the suspect was wearing a winter coat in olive green with black sleeves, dark pants, and black shoes, along with a balaclava and ski goggles. He was also carrying a black "duffel" bag.
