Ontario Provincial Police said a couple in their sixties were charged with drug trafficking after raiding a home on West Street last week.

Officers from the Northeast Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, along with the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, searched the home on August 11 in an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

Nearly $50,000 worth of suspected drugs were seized - including hydromorphone, methamphetamine, cocaine, oxycodone, Dilaudid, $30,000 in cash, a scale, and packaging materials.

The 64-year-old woman was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on October 5, while the 67-year-old accused was held for a bail hearing. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
