The Ministry of Labor has launched an investigation after a worker fell to his death from a rooftop at a worksite in Etobicoke, on Friday.
Also, Toronto Police said they responded to an incident that occurred on Thornley Crescent, near Kipling Street and Rathburn Road, where a worker fell approximately 15 feet from the rooftop of the building where he was working on Friday morning. Police said the victim was transported to the hospital.
Additionally, the Ministry of Labor confirmed on Saturday the death of the individual, who they said was employed by the Etobicoke contractor Caruk Hall, due to injuries sustained from the fall.
"We are saddened to hear about this incident," the ministry added in its statement. "Our thoughts are with the family, friends, and coworkers of the deceased worker."
Meanwhile, the investigation is still ongoing.
