Ontario Provincial Police confiscate numerous guns, ammunition, and drugs in Steiner

The Ontario Provincial Police from Huronia West and Collingwood said: They seized several weapons and drugs during a search warrant in Steiner.

The police said: They seized a loaded Glock 19 pistol, 46 rounds of 9mm ammunition, body armor, fentanyl, cocaine powder, crack cocaine, and hydromorphone tablets. Charges were laid against three people in the investigation.

Troy DaCosta, 28, from Scarborough, and April Hirst, 40, both from the town of Clearview, face 13 charges related to possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of loaded weapons, and careless storage of firearms.

Both were held on bail and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Thursday. The third person, Jacob Scott, 40, from Steiner, faces one charge of possession of a Schedule 1 substance. Scott was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on December 6.
